Milano Malpensa
Milan Malpensa International Airport (LIMC)
There are two airports that serve northern Italy's largest city, Milan. Milan Malpensa Airport handles mainly international flights, and the smaller Linate airport (see our page with information about Milano Linate), with mostly domestic and intra-European flights. Malpensa is the largest, handling more than 16 million passengers a year. Malpensa is well connected with the centre of Milan by bus and train, from where you can get onward connections to your final destination in Italy. Be careful not to book flights that arrive very late into Malpensa as public transport connections can be few and far between in the small hours.
Malpensa Airport is located 48 km (30 miles) northwest of Milan. There are a number of options for travel to and from the airport. Terminal 1 and the Terminal 2 of Malpensa can be reached by car, by train or by bus and between the two Terminals of Malpensa, there is a free shuttle bus available 24 hours a day.

Bus services leave from various locations around Milan and beyond and arrive at the terminal Departures area. From Milan Gallarate Station the service runs every twenty minutes from 06.05 to 20.15. There are also bus links to Malpensa airport from Turin, Genoa, Borgmanero, Novara, Como, Varese and Pavia.
