Bologna International Airport is situated just 6 km from Bologna city centre and is easily accessible by car, taxi and bus either from Bologna city centre or other major nearby towns such as Florence.
There is a aerobus service every 15 minutes run by the A.T.C.which takes you directly to the city center/train station (Bologna Centrale) in 20 minutes. An airport bus leaves on the run between the two terminals every 15 minutes. Make sure that you buy the special ticket for the airbus which costs more than a regular ATC bus ticket. You can buy it from the bus driver.
From the Bologna Centrale train station, you can then catch one of the many trains to Florence which leave during the day around every half hour. The journey with a Eurostar train (the most expensive) takes around one hour, however the slower regional trains do not take more than 1 hour 30 mins and are very economical.
By coach:
There is also a special coach service run by Autostazione coaches, that takes you directly from the aiport to Bologna city centre and the train station.
By taxi:
Alternatively there is a good taxi service available from the airport and a taxi can be picked up from the forecourt outside the terminal building.
